Synchronicity or Embodied Research

Dear friends,

Two weeks ago, I mentioned that some languages—such as Russian—are less possessive than our Western languages. To illustrate this, I made up a sample sentence with a dog.

In Russian, you don’t say "I have a dog," but rather "By me (is) dog."

Two days later, a dog wandered onto our property. A beautiful, sweet, calm, yet playful dog. He sat with us as if he had known us for a long time. We welcomed him as if we had been expecting him. It felt so natural. We didn’t know whether he was being looked for or had been abandoned. In the evening, he left again, and the next morning, he stopped by again for a few hours. We kept our hearts open, but also the gate of Amiglia. Love is free. He was welcome to be with us, but we didn’t need to have him.

We named him Emilio. Emilio of Amiglia—we found it beautiful.

A few days later, an elderly man stopped by. He apologized because his dog kept wandering off. We told him that we only enjoyed having him around. When the man left again, he called for Emilio, but at that moment, Emilio wanted to stay. Sometimes, he stays the night. Sometimes, he joins us for walks. Sometimes, he disappears for a day. Sometimes, he’s there when I come home, rolling onto his back, surrendering to being petted.

He is free. He is sweet. He is calm. And he is playful.

We maintain a take-it-or-leave-it relationship with Emilio. We love being together, we don’t want to change each other, we give each other space, and we enjoy the moment. We don’t have a dog. By us is dog. We don’t try to hold on to anything, but let life move and change. I experience—physically—how much more love that is, how much more my heart vibrates, compared to when I want to possess.

The Language Mode Project

Many people have already signed up for the webinar on The Language Mode Project. To avoid putting too much strain on the Wi-Fi here, we might schedule an additional session. So don’t hesitate to sign up or share it with others who might find it interesting.

Save the date!

Samsara is treating, and I get to extend the invitation.

On Monday afternoon, May 12, we’ll have a small gathering in Amsterdam to celebrate the release of The Dance of Nobody – A Personal and Transpersonal Journey in Search of Freedom and Love. (in Dutch!)

True to the spirit of the book, it won’t be a grand or theatrical event but an intimate, light, and informal coming together. A glass will be offered, a few words will be spoken, I may read a short passage, and beyond that, it can unfold like a dance of nobody.

If you can make time or turn it into a city trip, you’re very welcome! In a future message, you’ll find a registration button.

Welcome!
Much Love,
Zoe
